How to Improve Lifelong Feeling of Happiness?

Life’s for the living! Grabbing life by the horns begins with you – and here’s how to do it. Ladies, take notes:

You are a rock star. You put your best foot forward everyday, work hard, love harder and when you look in the mirror, you whisper “Just look at that girl.” 

So when life gives us “ugh,” you know how to embrace it! You have the right attitude. 

Sometimes between applying lipstick and heading to the boardroom, we all love to have a little refresh, so here are my top four advice favorites.

Mind Your Body 

Okay, this is basic, you’ve had this one for years! 

The foundations of a healthy body are: 

Exercise, researchers recommend 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week, or 75 more intensive minutes per week. 

Sleep, 8 – 9 hours every night. 

A healthy balanced diet with lots of grains, protein and vegetables.

You may not have heard this since grade school, but deep in your heart you know it’s key. Just apply niceness. Niceness leads to happier and more satisfying relationships. A little patience and a dash of understanding doesn’t just open doors, it keeps you going strong. 

Suffering is Part of Life

Learn to accept the good with the bad. It’s normal. 

Some practice mindfulness instead of focusing on suffering. Studies show that those who do, feel a greater global sense on joy. When you are mindful, focusing on the present moment exactly as it is, you can find funny and happy moments despite an unpleasant experience. Like when your kids are complaining and it is too cold outside to go swimming, or enjoy the patio – again, but there is a fun indoor game you could play instead. Acceptance is a mindset. 

Invest in Your Personal Network

Positive, uplifting and inspiring friends are treasures. Find those guys – the people who share your passion for life, the people who love the same activities you do, those guys who make you think, and the people who you just love being with. They will lift you up, keep you on track and improve your chances of success.
